We advise our clients to negotiate low and even accept up to €100 per day below market price for their first freelance mission. The objective is to take the first step, progress in the immigration procedure, and above all, gain European client experience on your CV, which will enhance the attractiveness of your profile, ultimately enabling you to negotiate higher rates for subsequent missions. Of course, once well-established in Belgium, nothing prevents you from applying again to increase your rate. However, we recommend our consultants to stay with the first client for at least 12 months. Experiences that are too short are often not appreciated on the CV.
Below is a table indicating, depending on your profession, the daily rate typically practiced for IT profiles in Belgium. Aiming for €50 to €100 below the minimum price range will help you land your first mission quickly.

You will never directly sign with the end client, the large industrial or telecommunications company that will utilize your services and where you will perform your consulting service. Instead, you will negotiate with an intermediary consulting or recruitment company. Generally, these companies prefer to negotiate with fully independent freelance consultants who are not incorporated into another company.
Therefore, we advise you to always state that you are a freelance consultant and that you are a direct associate in a company based in Europe, specifically in Luxembourg, for billing purposes.
We recommend informing them to directly contact your associate, who handles the administrative aspect, via email: Contact@Freelance2Europe.com
This administrative associate will organize, communicate billing information, and sign consultancy contracts on your behalf.
Once the contract is signed, your immigration file is complete, as the contract is the final piece of the puzzle to finalize the immigration procedure.
