Step 7: Immigration
The immigration procedure takes between 6 to 8 weeks from the submission of the file
The procedure described below only starts after signing the contract with the final client. Having a contract is a necessary condition for the acceptance of the immigration file by the Belgian authorities.
A/ Submission of the file in Belgium by Freelance2Europe
Freelance2Europe will contact you to finalize the immigration file.
Preparing your immigration file in advance, at step 1, allows starting the procedure directly on the same day as the contract signing.
Please note:
it is necessary that the following two documents are dated less than 3 months ago. If these two documents are more than 3 months old, new ones must be requested:
-
A medical certificate from a doctor recognized by the Belgian embassy in Morocco.(Link to download PDF) -
A Certificate of “Extrait de la fiche Anthropometrique,” which must bear the Apostille stamp from the “prefecture.”
The processing time for your file by the Brussels authorities generally takes 6 to 8 weeks. Freelance2Europe has had a 100% acceptance rate for files so far.
This is the most delicate part, patiently waiting for the decision of the Belgian administration
Once the decision is made, after 6 to 8 weeks, Freelance2Europe will contact you again and provide you with the written favorable decision from the Belgian administration and the planned payment by Freelance2Europe of the immigration tax:
-
Unique permit. -
Work authorization. -
Proof of payment of the fee for each family member (excluding minor children).
These three documents will need to be presented to TLS, more details in the following paragraph.
B/ Appointment scheduling with TLS Casablanca
To proceed, please apply on the TLS CASABLANCA website for Belgium: Apply to a Belgian VISA D Please note that this is a dedicated site for procedures with the Belgian Embassy in Rabat. Be cautious, as it is a different TLS site from the one used for residence permits in France. Everything is explained in an 8-minute online video regarding the procedure to apply for the long-term D visa.
Step 1: Prepare your documents for yourself and potentially your family if you decide to immigrate with them
Document checklist to bring to the TLS appointment:
-
Original passport for each family member with at least 2 blank pages minimum. -
Dated and signed forms (PrintVA) for each family member, to be filled out on the TLS website. If you are immigrating as a family, documents should be grouped under the same “group” on the site. -
2 recent passport photos for each family member. -

Unique permit attached. -
Work authorization attached. -

Proof of payment of the fee for each family member (excluding minor children). I will take care of this document, but please provide the name, first name, date of birth, and nationality of each adult family member immigrating.
Step 2: Once your dossier is complete, make an appointment on the TLS CASABLANCA Belgium website to submit the documents in person
TLS BE CASA website for appointments: TLS website Appointments are generally easy to obtain compared to France and Spain. Typically, within 2 or 3 days, you can go and submit your documents.
TLS CASABLANCA BE Location: Immeuble Walili Street, 42 Bd Abdelmoumen, Casablanca 20250.
Step 3: TLS takes care of everything and will notify you when your visas are ready in your passports
